Once a sporophyte, always a sporophyte...

Well, it seems that I have been busy with school and haven't had time to keep up with posting, but that's ok! One more week and I'm done!

Day 20: Eyes.

Day 21: 9 o'clock.
Just a typical saturday night, working on my plant paper!

Day 24: A stranger.
I'm not a creeper, I swear...
(They made me do it??)

Day 25: Heart.

Or in this case, hearts.
Know what this is from?

Show me your sepals!

On Wednesday, our botany lab went to the Fairview Gardens Organic Farm. We learned some cool stuff about composting, irrigation, what to plant and where, and things taste better when they are not injected with ethylene. We also got to pick some strawberries... which were amazing.

Also, did you know a sunflower is actually a bunch of flowers? It's called an inflorescence. Check it out!

We happened to park next to a pomegranate tree. It was doing really well! The zig-zag cut at the bottom is the remnant sepals of the flower.

And check out this cool flower!

The purple parts are the pistil (female reproductive parts)

Day 16: Sign.
I pass this everyday on the bus into campus.

Day 17: Your Addiction.
My morning tea! Mmm :)

Day 18: Plate.
Blueberry and vanilla goat cheese.

Day 19. Animal/insect/pet.
Kitty was too hot last night, so he decided to cool himself off by laying on my desk by the window.
He also plotted to steal my pens.
